Privacy Policy
This policy explains what ZEROED ("we", "us") collects when you use the ZEROED iOS app, how we use it, and the choices you have. We've tried to keep it short and honest.
1. What we collect
When you sign in and play, we collect the following information about you:
- Apple Sign-In identifier and email. When you sign in with your Apple ID, Apple sends us a stable identifier ("user ID") and the email address you chose to share — which may be a private relay address ending in
@privaterelay.appleid.com. - Display name (first sign-in only). If you allow Apple to share your full name on the very first sign-in, we use it as a suggested username. Apple does not return it on subsequent sign-ins.
- Username and country. The username you choose during onboarding and the country you select. Both are visible to other players on the leaderboards.
- Gameplay statistics. Per-round timing deltas (milliseconds off zero), counts of rounds played, "sharp" hits, perfect taps, and recent results history (the last 84 of your online rounds).
- Purchase records. If you buy ZEROED Pro, we store the entitlement state (active / inactive) and the product purchased. Payment is processed by Apple; we never see your payment details.
- Standard app diagnostics. Crash reports and app performance data through Apple's standard frameworks, when you've opted in via iOS Settings.
2. What we don't collect
- Your full Apple ID password, Touch ID, or Face ID data — Apple handles authentication entirely.
- Your phone number, contacts, photos, location, or microphone.
- Behavioural advertising identifiers (we don't run ads).
3. How we use it
- To run the game (matchmake you with the global round, save your stats, show leaderboards).
- To verify your purchases and grant Pro features.
- To prevent abuse (e.g. duplicate accounts or impossible scores).
- To improve the game (aggregated, anonymised metrics — never per-user behaviour analysis without consent).
4. Who we share it with
We share data with the following service providers, strictly to operate ZEROED:
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore database, Cloud Functions). Hosts your profile and gameplay data. See Firebase's privacy policy.
- RevenueCat (subscription and purchase tracking). Receives your Firebase user ID and product purchase events. RevenueCat's privacy policy.
- Apple (App Store, Sign in with Apple, in-app purchases). Apple's terms govern your purchase and authentication flow separately from this policy.
We do not sell your data and we do not share it with advertisers.
5. Your rights and choices
- Sign out. In Settings → Sign Out. This clears your Firebase session on your device. Your account and stats remain on our servers until you delete them.
- Delete your account and all data. Email tuna.ozerdem@yahoo.com and we will delete your profile, username, gameplay history, and purchase records within 30 days. We retain only what we're required to keep for tax / financial-records purposes (in practice, none of your personal data — only anonymised aggregate purchase counts).
- Export your data. Same email; we'll send you a JSON export of everything we hold about you within 30 days.
- Correct your data. Username and country are editable from inside the app's Settings.
- Stop us using your data. If you're in the EU/UK (GDPR) or California (CCPA/CPRA), you have the right to object to processing, restrict it, or request portability. Email us and we'll walk you through the relevant options.
6. Children
ZEROED is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe we have, contact us and we'll delete it promptly.
7. Where your data is stored
Your data lives on Google Cloud's infrastructure in the us-central1 region (Iowa, United States). If you're outside the US, your data crosses borders to reach our servers. By using ZEROED you consent to that transfer.
8. Changes to this policy
We'll update this page if we change what we collect or how we use it, and bump the effective date at the top. For significant changes (new third parties, new data types) we'll also notify you in-app.
9. Contact
Questions, requests, or complaints: tuna.ozerdem@yahoo.com.
For unresolved complaints, residents of the EU/UK can also contact their national data-protection authority. Residents of California can contact the California Privacy Protection Agency.
10. Governing law
This policy is governed by the laws of USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
